Free Hula Show Returns to Waikīkī After 22 Years
The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) proudly announces the first hula show in Waikīkī developed and hosted by a Native Hawaiian organization. The Kilohana Hula Show, which officially launched on Feb. 15, offers a modern twist on iconic productions, including the Kodak Hula Show, that were held in the Waikīkī Shell for more than 60 years before ending in 2002. The free, one-hour show is held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday at the Waikīkī Shell Amphitheatre.

The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), a member based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the cultural, economic, political and development of Native Hawaiians, opens registration today for its first Native Hawaiian Convention to be held in the continental United States, scheduled for June 19-22, 2023, in Las Vegas. The inaugural Western Regional Native Hawaiian Convention will be held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and will feature discussions on cultural perpetuation, housing and tourism, as well as evening hula showcases and other Hawaiian entertainment.
